Just got back from Phoenix and teaching a West Coast Swing Contestant/Judging workshop for the Greater Phoenix Swing Dance Club. What a joy to work with such wonderful students of dance. Timing, Technique, Teamwork, Choreography and Showmanship were some of the topics covered. Thanks to everyone who made it such a great success. |

Spending time in Virginia...What a wonderful time do be here. Visiting my brother and his wife, Arlington where my father is buried, Monticello and much more...back to work soon, but for now I'm a tourist and loving it! |

I went in for some sinus surgery a week ago and am healing nicely. Dr. Cravens, my ENT doctor is the best diagnostic guy I have ever seen for the sinuses...I am very impressed by his work. I had a deviated septum corrected and also better drainage drilled for the sinus cavities. I will be breathing better and not having to deal with all the nasty sinus infections. They have image guided surgery techniques that make for a much better surgery outcome. I highly recommend Tucson Ear Nose and Throat...Thank-you Dr. Cravens! |

WoW!!! What a great weekend I just had being on staff at Dallas Dance. They really do a wonderful job every year. You get hours & hours of social dancing, lots of dance workshops (one of which was mine :) ), exciting competitions all in the heart of downtown Dallas. My post surgery knee was all healed so I could dance in the champions jack & Jill...what fun to be back out on the dancefloor. This is a must attend event......see you next year! |

Happy Birthday Ken Mercik...my long time friend and Swing DJ. I just got back from Connecticut where I taught workshops and helped celebrate Ken's Big Birthday. Robert Royston and I were the headliners at this great dance weekend. It was lot's of fun getting back to New England to teach and reconnect with friends there. I'm home from a fantastic weekend filled with dancing, friends, competitions and much more....The Greater Phoenix Swing Dance Club puts on their 4th of July event each year and it is always memorable. I judge all weekend, coach privates and dance as much as I can with old and new friends. Held at the beautiful Arizona Biltmore, this event is a class act and the GPSDC knows how to make each attendee feel welcome and special. This is an event I never miss....see you next year! |
